The Importance of Pain Relief without Medications

We don't really have to be highly educated or intelligent to understand what pain is. Every child knows what pain is ever since the first time he injures his knee in the playground, and we are accompanied by pain all throughout our lives.

In ancient times people tried and used to frogs and alligators droppings to soothe pain, which seems ridiculous in view of modern medicine. However, contemporary medications are not necessarily more effective. Seemingly sophisticated painkillers often cause additional problems and pain. Along with the pain that goes away temporarily, the body natural painkillers – the Endorphins also disappear from the body. Prolonged use of Pain Relief Medications disrupts the pain control mechanism in the brain, and pain tends to appear more often and more intensive.

Neurologists and Medical Doctors, who have made acquaintance with alternative approaches to treat pain, realized already that it would be more effective on the long run to teach the sufferer to control his pain in order to enable him to reduce or even completely stop the use of painkillers and external pain relief measures. By doing so, we allow the patient to live with his pains without being exposed to additional pain from other sources, as the internal mechanism for pain control is bypassed and suppressed.
